Boozer Back on the Wagon

Carlos Boozer is set to return from his knee injury. The Jazz will take it slowly as they ease him back into the rotation. He hasn’t played since November 19th so he’ll likely be a little rusty as he works his way back. Prior to his injury he was averaging 20.5 points and 11.7 rebounds. Give him a little time before you plug him back into your lineup. The most telling sign is how he handles the second night of back-to-back games. If you’re in a daily league with a cap on the number of games you can use in a given week, you may want to sit him on that second night unless he has a juicy matchup.
Paul Millsap and Mehmet Okur’s values take a hit with Boozer’s return. They both stepped up their scoring and rebounding when Boozer went down. Now that he’s back, there’s one more mouth to feed. Deron Williams has averaged 27.9 point per game in his last eight games, including five 30+ games. He won’t have to shoulder as much of the scoring load with Boozer back.
